Role Overview
The Payroll Specialist will provide interim support to the payroll function during a period of transition and increased workload. This person will work closely with the existing Payroll Analyst to support day-to-day payroll execution, reduce workload, and provide coverage during upcoming payroll cycles.
The immediate need is for someone who can step in quickly, support payroll processing, and help ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. This is not an implementation-focused role; the primary focus is keeping payroll operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities- Support day-to-day payroll operations and payroll processing.
- Assist with U.S. semi-monthly payroll through Workday Payroll and ADP integration.
- Work side by side with the current Payroll Analyst to provide additional bandwidth and coverage.
- Help ensure timely and accurate payroll processing during upcoming payroll cycles.
- Assist with payroll inquiries, data validation, and follow-up items.
- Support ad hoc payroll needs, including deduction changes, payroll codes, and compensation updates.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external payroll partners as needed.
- Partner with Finance/Accounting on payroll-related journal or accounting questions when needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive compensation information.
- Hands-on payroll processing experience.
- Experience supporting U.S. payroll operations.
- Workday Payroll is a must
- Understanding of payroll compliance, payroll cycles, and payroll execution.
- Ability to step into an active payroll environment quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable supporting a lean payroll team in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive compensation information with discretion.
- Experience in financial services, asset management, or a similar professional services environment.
- Experience with ADP integrations or payroll interfaces.
- Experience supporting payroll for salaried employee populations.
