What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor position at ConsultNet Technology Services and Solutions?
This is a Production Supervisor role based fully on-site in South Windsor, focused on overseeing daily production operations within a high-volume mailing/print environment.
The position is responsible for ensuring production runs efficiently and meets all deadlines and service requirements. This includes prioritizing jobs on the production floor, managing staffing levels, coordinating across departments, and maximizing machine productivity while maintaining quality standards. The supervisor also handles training, cross-training, scheduling, and workflow planning, while ensuring equipment uptime and proper inventory management.
The schedule is a compressed workweek, running Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, offering longer shifts but fewer working days.
Ideal candidates will have prior supervisory experience along with a background in print production or maintenance, and a strong ability to manage teams and operations in a fast-paced environment.
