HVAC-R Technician

HVAC – Refrigeration Technician
Medina, Ohio - Within 90 minutes of home office
Hourly with OT - $40-50hr (BOE), Van, PTO, Profit Sharing, 401k, benefits, etc.
Will take home company van and drive to jobs from home each day.

Job Purpose

Responsible to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair Refrigeration and HVAC equipment across multiple locations, which includes commercial large-scale refrigeration and HVAC equipment. This role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently while traveling to various job sites to perform both preventative, reactive and emergency Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Reads and understands work orders, blueprints, and instructional manuals to assist in or independently perform Commercial Refrigeration and HVAC services.
• Ability to quote and price the installation and repair of Commercial Refrigeration and HVAC Equipment, and other electrical/mechanical supermarket, fast food and commercial building equipment.
• Complete preventative maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of Commercial Refrigeration and HVAC Equipment, and certain repairs to other electrical/mechanical supermarket, fast food and commercial building equipment; responds to emergency situations as needed.
• Complete installation of Commercial Refrigeration and HVAC Equipment and other electrical/mechanical supermarket, fast food, and commercial building equipment.
• Knowledge of Refrigeration HVAC equipment such as Munters, Hilphoenix, Trane, Carrier, Danfoss, etc..
• Knowledge of refrigeration HVAC controllers such as CPC, Danfoss, Siemens, Trane, Novar Client, etc.
• Observes additional maintenance needs requiring attention and reports those to the appropriate supervisor.
• Utilizes a variety of a HVAC hand and power tools, proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
• Presents a professional, positive, and helpful attitude at all times when interacting with tenants and coworkers.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience servicing commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Current certificate for refrigeration
• Needs to know rack refrigeration
• Will live within 90-mile radius of our Medina Office
• Required to have their own hand tools – power tools can be supplied
• This will consist of working alone and in a team environment
