We are seeking a proactive and skilled Network and Systems Administrator with a focus on the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of Network Engineering monitoring and management platforms. This role is responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining core enterprise tool infrastructure across both physical and virtual environments in on premise and cloud deployments.
- Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and maintain management platform hardware and software.
- OS Administration: Manage and administer enterprise operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux distributions, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and user access management.
- Network and Server Monitoring: Utilize enterprise monitoring and management tools to proactively track network performance, server health, and bandwidth usage, resolving bottlenecks before they impact the business.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Act as the escalation point for complex network and server related issues, performing root cause analysis in support of Network Engineering.
- Maintenance and Security: Execute routine patch management, firmware updates, and system backups. Ensure network security protocols and firewalls are strictly maintained.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up to date documentation for network topology, server configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- The resource needs to be an operations engineer (not an architect, and not an automation engineer).
- Needs to be technical, self-starter, independent, capable of doing their own research, and documenting the appropriate items for future reference.
- Day 2 support to learn how/what things are done and then be given more tasks/responsibilities as their understanding and knowledge progresses.
- Heavy documentation in OneNote, outlook, google docs, google workspace.
- Will eventually create documentation needed to create work plans and communicate with other plants and remote sites, submitting forms to deploy and help other sites deploy.
- Instruct, ops support, adding ID's into the system, adding devices in, rack and stack server, IP address configuration.
- Work closely with Senior engineers, heavy documentation, step by steps will be provided but must have rack and stack, cabling/wiring exp, eventually with login and answer tickets.
Job Qualification
- Needs knowledge/experience with Catalyst Center and other network monitoring tools

- .Networking Expertise: Strong understanding of network communications protocols such as TCP IP, DNS, NTP, SMTP and experience in networking and its operations
- .Server and OS Proficiency: Deep hands on experience managing operating systems such as Windows Server, Ubuntu, or Red Hat and virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper V
- .Monitoring Tools: Proven experience using network monitoring platforms such as NNMi, HPNA, Zabbix, or Datadog to analyze system health and knowledge of IT management platforms such as Cisco Catalyst Center, BlueCat LiveNX, and Cisco ThousandEyes
- .Industry certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network /Server , or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator
