Constellation Search Group is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst for a full-time direct hire position. The Senior Financial Analyst is tasked with delivering timely financial and operational analytics within a dynamic, lean manufacturing setting. Responsibilities include analyzing results, identifying trends, developing comprehensive reports, and effectively communicating findings to senior management. The Analyst is also committed to process improvements and will manage journal entries and account reconciliations, along with tackling various ad-hoc projects based on the business's current demands.
Responsibilities:
- Manage various month-end closing duties such as journal entries and general ledger reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner.
- Monitor financial and business KPIs throughout the month, producing consolidated reports that summarize and analyze actual results against forecasts and budgets.
- Review P&L activity and variances for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist management in trend and variance analysis to ensure accurate forecast expectations are established for the business.
- Set and maintain standard costs effectively.
- Conduct ROI calculations to evaluate the advisability of expenditures.
- Develop account-level and labor efficiency forecasts for business unit locations.
- Provide data analysis to support management and facilitate annual budget and strategic planning processes.
- Manage critical components of the financial internal control environment and support annual and internal audit requests.
- Aid in the execution of the annual physical inventory process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Over 5 years of accounting/finance experience, with a preference for manufacturing cost accounting experience.
- Proficiency with the MS Office Suite, particularly intermediate to expert-level Excel skills; experience in handling large data sets effectively and efficiently.
- Knowledge and experience with ERP or MRP business systems, with a preference for Oracle.
- Strong organizational, planning, leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Competent in problem-solving, analytical thinking, and balancing multiple tasks.
- Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment with accuracy and efficiency.
