Position Summary
Constanellis Aerospace is seeking a Controller to lead the company's accounting operations and financial reporting function. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Controller will establish and maintain a scalable, audit-ready accounting infrastructure that supports rapid growth, government contracting, and capital formation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and the month-end and year-end close.
- Establish and maintain a government-compliant accounting environment, including DCAA-compliant systems, FAR and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) compliance, indirect rate structures, and incurred cost submissions.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and management reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and financial planning and analysis.
- Design and enforce internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures appropriate for a high-growth, contract-driven business.
- Manage external audits, tax filings, and relationships with auditors, banks, and lenders, including SBIR/STTR, Other Transaction Agreement, and facility-financing reporting requirements.
- Oversee the company's financial systems (ERP) and support due diligence for fundraising and non-dilutive capital programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including a senior accounting or Controller role.
- Demonstrated experience with U.S. Government contract accounting (DCAA, FAR, CAS) and federal contract or grant compliance.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems and a track record of scaling financial operations.
- U.S. citizenship required; eligibility for a U.S. government security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the aerospace, defense, or manufacturing sectors.
- Familiarity with SBIR/STTR accounting, government cost proposals, and capital project financing.
