Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Municipal Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, Virginia. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with local governments and public agencies on a variety of infrastructure projects that improve transportation networks, utilities, stormwater systems, and community development throughout Northern Virginia.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support municipal engineering projects from planning through construction.
- Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, reports, cost estimates, and permit applications.
- Design and oversee roadway, drainage, stormwater, utility, and capital improvement projects.
- Coordinate with municipalities, regulatory agencies, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Assist with capital improvement planning, infrastructure assessments, and project prioritization.
- Conduct site visits and provide construction administration support as needed.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and engineering standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
- 5 years of municipal engineering, public works, or civil infrastructure experience.
- Knowledge of roadway design, stormwater management, utility infrastructure, and permitting processes.
- Experience working with local governments and public-sector clients.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software.
- Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
