Position Summary

The Manufacturing Operator / Production Associate is responsible for safely and efficiently operating production equipment, assembling products, inspecting materials and finished goods, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This position follows established production procedures, quality standards, safety requirements, and company policies to ensure products are manufactured accurately and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing machinery, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assemble, package, label, and inspect products according to specifications.
• Follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, and production schedules.
• Perform quality checks and identify defects, inconsistencies, or other production issues.
• Complete production paperwork, records, and required documentation accurately.
• Monitor equipment and report malfunctions, maintenance needs, or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and applicable manufacturing regulations.
• Meet established production, quality, efficiency, and attendance expectations.
• Handle raw materials, components, and finished products appropriately.
• Work effectively with supervisors and other team members to resolve production issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement, waste reduction, and process improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or mechanical experience preferred but not always required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work safely in a production environment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills may be required depending on the position.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently bend, reach, lift, and move materials.
• Ability to lift and carry materials up to the weight limit established for the position.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Ability to work around manufacturing equipment, noise, temperature variations, and other normal production-environment conditions.
• Must be able to use required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work Environment

This position is primarily performed in a manufacturing or production facility. Employees may be exposed to machinery, noise, dust, temperature variations, and other conditions typical of a manufacturing environment. Appropriate training and personal protective equipment will be provided as required.
