Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications
- Develop and execute a Council-wide marketing and communications strategy that promotes Scouting programs, events, and community impact.
- Manage all digital and print communications, including the Council website, social media channels, newsletters, press releases, and promotional materials.
- Ensure brand consistency and compelling storytelling across all platforms.
- Build relationships with local media outlets to increase coverage of Scouting activities and achievements.
- Supports the Council’s fundraising initiatives, including Friends of Scouting campaigns, major gifts, corporate sponsorships, grants, and special events.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, community leaders, and business partners.
- Oversee donor recognition programs and ensure timely impact reporting.
- Support the Board of Directors and volunteers in fundraising efforts and donor outreach.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, or related field.
- Demonstrated success in donor cultivation, campaign management, and digital marketing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for the mission of Scouting and commitment to youth development.
- Experience with donor management systems, Blackbaud preferred.
- Graphic design and content creation capabilities.
- Event planning and community engagement experience.
- Familiarity with Scouting programs and values is highly desirable.
- Salary Range: $26/hr – $32/hr, depending on experience and qualifications.
