Connecticut Orthopaedics is looking for a Charge Entry Associate II for our Wallingford office.

The Charge Entry Associate is primarily responsible for revenue capture and auditing services and procedures within the revenue cycle to assure proper clean claim adjudication to Medicare and third-party payors.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Direct contact with the Provider Offices for clarification on charges
- Abstract coding from provider notes for complex ancillary services
- Provider audits for correct E/M levels of service and provides direct feedback to MD when charges are recoded
- Enter charges among different lines of service
- Serves as a communication link between the coding manager, physician medical assistant, registrations and peers within the revenue cycle billing department.
- Capture office visits, office procedures, MRI, and radiology through visit tracking and scheduling reports
- Physical/Occupational Therapy and DME Charge Capture
- Other duties as assigned by coding manager
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Ability to manage high call volume
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledgeable in appending modifiers to office visits and office procedures.
- Knowledge of all government rules and regulations as it pertains to compliant billing using National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI), and third-party payor rules.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
Experience/Educational requirements:
- EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent; supplemented with three (3) years of related work
- EXPERIENCE: Preferred Experience in Greenway Primesuite Practice Management and EMR
- LICENSURE: CPC preferred, will consider work experience in lieu of certification
