Connect Staffing is hiring a Wire Rope Splicer for a wire rope and rigging assembly manufacturer in Houston, TX. In this role, you will splice and assemble wire rope slings to spec, set up and operate rope assembly machines, and select raw materials and hardware for sling production.
Pay: $20/hr
Schedule: Monday to Friday 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Location: Houston, TX

Responsibilities
- Splice and assemble wire rope slings to manufacturing specifications and quality standards.
- Set up, adjust, and operate rope assembly machines and production equipment.
- Select raw materials, hardware, tools, and tags needed to build rope slings.
- Read and interpret production sheets, manufacturing manuals, and work orders.
- Use manufacturing software to issue materials, print work orders, and track inventory.
- Identify and report equipment, safety, or material issues to the group leader.
Minimum Requirements
- 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial assembly environment.
- Prior experience with wire rope, rigging, slings, or lifting hardware.
- Experience setting up or operating industrial machinery or rope assembly equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance (PM) procedures on production equipment.
- Experience using manufacturing or inventory management software to issue materials and process work orders.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, production sheets, and safety documents.

Pre-Employment Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
