Connect Staffing is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Clerk / Forklift Operator for a metal fabrication manufacturer in Los Alamitos, CA. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $24.50/hr, Monday–Friday with approximately 8 hours of weekly overtime. In this role, you will use a sit-down forklift and hand trucks to unload incoming trucks, verify deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips, and package and crate finished metal products for outbound shipment. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with consistent overtime each week.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7am–5pm, overtime as needed

Responsibilities
- Operate a sit-down forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck to unload incoming trucks and move materials to designated storage locations.
- Compare delivered items and quantities against purchase orders and packing slips to confirm accuracy.
- Clean, package, and crate finished metal products using banding equipment, wooden crates, and protective wrapping for outbound shipment.
- Load outgoing shipments onto transport vehicles and verify proper load securement.
- Prepare shipping documents including Bills of Lading (BOLs), commercial invoices, and Certificates of Conformance (C of C).
- Keep the shipping and receiving dock organized, stocked, and clear of hazards.
Minimum Requirements
- 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving.
- Proven experience operating a sit-down forklift.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using RF scanners for inventory tracking or shipment verification.
- Familiarity with shipping documentation including BOLs, packing slips, and Certificates of Conformance.
- Experience packaging or crating large, heavy, or custom-shaped metal parts.
- Background in metal fabrication, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Experience with inventory organization and stock rotation in a warehouse or production setting.
