MIG Welder / Fabrication Welder (Manufacturing & Structural)

Pay: $25.00–$28.00/hr
Schedule: Full-Time | 40 hrs/week (Overtime as needed)
Location: Liberty, TX | In Person

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder / Fabrication Welder to join a high-production fabrication team. This role requires strong MIG welding skills, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and hands-on experience fabricating metal components in a shop or manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working with a variety of fabrication tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on sheet metal, ductwork, piping, and structural steel

• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols

• Fabricate, fit, and assemble metal components to specification

• Operate fabrication equipment such as press brake, plasma cutter, and grinders

• Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measure) to verify tolerances

• Conduct visual inspections to ensure weld quality and workmanship

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• Follow OSHA and company safety standards at all times

• Assist with rigging, pipe threading, machining, and general fabrication as needed

Required Qualifications

• 3 years of MIG welding experience in fabrication or manufacturing

• Strong blueprint and schematic reading skills

• Experience working with structural steel, piping, or ductwork

• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment

• Knowledge of welding symbols and basic ASME welding standards

• Ability to pass a weld test

• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• TIG welding experience

• FCAW (Flux-Cored) welding experience

• Forklift experience or certification

• Experience in shop or industrial manufacturing environments
