Connect Staffing is hiring an Inside Sales Representative for an industrial and commercial distribution company in Sacramento, CA. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $22–$24/hr. In this role, you will generate quotes and proposals, process customer orders, and work directly with customers and vendors to match products to their needs. This position also involves hands-on participation in shipping, receiving, and inventory — making it a well-rounded role for someone who wants more than a desk job.
Pay: $22–$24/hr (Monthly Bonus up to $700 if the Departments meets their goal)

Responsibilities
- Determine customer requirements and recommend specific products, alternate options, or solutions based on cost, availability, and specifications.
- Cross-sell, up-sell, and present promotional items to grow order size and repeat business.
- Contact vendors to obtain accurate shipment dates and delivery information.
- Educate customers on product terminology, features, and benefits to support purchasing decisions.
- Prepare and deliver product quotes and pricing proposals in response to customer inquiries
- Follow up with customers after sales to ensure satisfaction and resolve any complaints.
- Process customer orders accurately through phone, email, and online channels to ensure timely fulfillment
- Participate in shipping, receiving, and inventory processes alongside the distribution team.
Minimum Requirements
- 1 years of customer service experience.
- 1 years of inside sales or product sales experience, preferably in an industrial or commercial distribution environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using CRM software to capture and manage customer and order information.
- Experience handling inbound and outbound customer calls in a professional business environment
- Experience entering and managing orders in an ERP, order management, or inventory system
- Experience working with vendor portals or supplier ordering systems to check availability and lead times
- Familiarity with industrial or commercial products, equipment, or supply distribution.
- Familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAP, NetSuite, Epicor, or similar distribution-focused systems
- Associate degree or higher in business, sales, or a related field.
- Experience processing orders, quotes, and returns in a distribution or wholesale environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple customer accounts and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to calculate percentages and pricing quickly and accurately.
