Restoration Technician

Connect Staffing is hiring a Restoration Technician for a property restoration company in Irvine, CA. This is a long-term placement paying $24–$27/hr on a Monday–Friday schedule. In this role, you will operate extractors, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and other restoration equipment to mitigate water damage and perform hands-on demolition of damaged building materials at residential and commercial job sites. This position offers steady weekday hours with 1–2 openings available.

Pay:$24–$27/hr

Schedule:Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm; occasional OT and weekends

Responsibilities

• Set up and monitor drying equipment — including air movers, dehumidifiers, and air scrubbers — at water-damaged job sites across residential and commercial properties.
• Perform moisture mapping and take readings using moisture meters and thermal imaging cameras.
• Remove damaged drywall, flooring, and insulation using hand tools and power tools.
• Apply anti-microbial and anti-fungal treatments to affected areas.
• Document job site conditions with photos, moisture readings, and detailed written notes.
• Communicate with property owners and managers on-site to explain restoration steps and timelines.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• 1 year of experience in restoration, remediation, or a related field.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with water damage mitigation and drying protocol setup.
• Familiarity with mold remediation procedures following IICRC guidelines.
• Experience removing damaged building materials including drywall, flooring, and insulation.
• IICRC certification (WRT, ASD, or similar) — a plus but not required.
• Experience communicating with residential clients or property managers on active job sites.
