Our client, a highly regarded Atlanta law firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling a diverse mix of complex matters, including commercial litigation, construction disputes, healthcare litigation, financial services litigation, insurance-related disputes, and real estate litigation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal who enjoys substantive involvement in cases and wants to work alongside experienced attorneys from the earliest stages of litigation through trial, arbitration, mediation, and resolution.
Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, correspondence, and other legal documents for attorney review
- Manage case files, maintain litigation databases, and organize case-related documents
- Coordinate document review, production, and Bates labeling
- Conduct legal and factual research utilizing legal research platforms and public records resources
- Investigate parties, witnesses, experts, and other individuals relevant to litigation matters
- Manage litigation calendars and track court deadlines, depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Prepare exhibits, witness files, deposition materials, trial notebooks, and demonstrative evidence
- Assist attorneys with trial, hearing, mediation, and arbitration preparation
- Coordinate with court reporters, e-discovery providers, litigation support vendors, and other service providers
- Utilize litigation technology and case management software to support attorneys and clients
- Record billable time and assist with overall case management responsibilities
Qualifications
- Prior litigation paralegal experience in a law firm environment
- Experience supporting commercial, business, construction, healthcare, insurance, financial services, or real estate litigation matters preferred
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, discovery processes, and trial preparation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple cases, competing priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, team-oriented approach and commitment to client service
