A well-regarded regional law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to support a busy team of litigators in the Atlanta office. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This is a fully onsite position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, revise, and finalize legal documents, pleadings, and discovery materials
- Manage attorney calendars, scheduling, travel, and client meetings
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical client files
- Handle state and federal e-filing and court filings
- Track and manage complex case dockets within the case management system
- Coordinate billing with the business office and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare exhibits and assist with trial preparation
- Manage and track discovery documents
- Enter attorney time and assist with new matter intake
- Support marketing efforts, including presentations and materials
- Assist with file closing and records management
- Provide additional administrative support as needed
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of legal assistant/secretarial experience in a law firm
- Prior experience supporting litigation attorneys
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, including advanced formatting and track changes
- Experience with document management systems (iManage preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional demeanor when interacting with clients, courts, and vendors
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work effectively in a collaborative setting
