Credit & Collections Supervisor
Location: West Bend, WI (Hybrid—up to 2 days/week remote)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Compensation: $75,000-$90,000 base quarterly bonus opportunity
Role Summary
The Credit & Collections Supervisor oversees daily operations within the credit and collections department, ensuring consistent credit policy application, managing credit lines, mitigating risk, and supporting overall business growth. This leader provides direction to a team of regional credit analysts and ensures strong credit controls across the dealer and rental customer network.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily activities of a regional credit analyst team, including training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee the credit granting process: evaluate new and existing customer creditworthiness through financial statement review, credit reports, and trade references.
- Establish, update, and monitor credit limits and payment terms in alignment with corporate policies.
- Partner with Accounts Receivable to track aging reports, drive DSO reduction, and minimize bad debt.
- Serve as primary contact for internal teams and external customers; resolve credit issues and negotiate payment plans.
- Maintain accurate, current, and complete credit files and documentation.
- Ensure credit operations comply with all state, federal, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to development and improvements of credit policies, workflows, and systems.
- Prepare and present credit risk and KPI reports to management.
Required Experience
- 5 years of credit management experience.
- 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Background in high-volume B2B credit, ideally in manufacturing or equipment financing.
- Strong financial analysis and credit risk assessment capabilities.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and people-management skills.
- High competency in financial statement interpretation and credit decision-making.
- Strong problem-solving ability with focus on accuracy and detail.
- Skilled communicator with negotiation ability for difficult or delinquent accounts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Experience with accounting/ERP software (IFS or similar).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- CBA or CCE certification is a plus.
