Accounting Manager
Location: Waukesha, WI (Hybrid)
Compensation: $100,000 - $115,000 Bonus
Type: Full-time; permanent
An established global manufacturing organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its finance team. This position serves as a key financial partner to operations, supporting multiple manufacturing facilities while driving financial performance, operational efficiencies, and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities
- Partner with operations leadership to provide financial guidance and support key business decisions
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities for multiple manufacturing locations
- Analyze manufacturing performance, cost trends, and operational KPIs while providing actionable recommendations
- Drive cost improvement initiatives and monitor manufacturing efficiency
- Prepare monthly financial reporting and management analysis for leadership
- Manage inventory accounting, work-in-process, fixed assets, capital investments, and working capital reporting
- Monitor manufacturing cost drivers including labor utilization, overhead absorption, capacity costs, and standard costing
- Develop reporting tools and dashboards that improve financial visibility across operations
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and applicable accounting standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, supply chain, and plant leadership to improve business performance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4 years of accounting, finance, cost accounting, or manufacturing finance experience
- Manufacturing industry experience required
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting and manufacturing cost accounting principles
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
- Experience using business intelligence or reporting tools such as Power BI or similar platforms is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with operational leadership
- Ability to travel occasionally between manufacturing facilities
