Job Summary
Leading manufacturer to the RV Industry. Our production facility is located in Elkhart, Indiana.
The MIG Welder Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the welding department while performing MIG welding as needed. This position provides leadership to the welding team, ensures production schedules are met, maintains quality standards, and promotes a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate, and support the daily activities of MIG welders.
- Assign work, monitor productivity, and ensure production deadlines are achieved.
- Train, coach, and evaluate welding personnel on proper welding techniques, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Perform MIG welding on steel.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding specifications.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with company and customer quality requirements.
- Troubleshoot welding, fabrication, and production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure welding equipment is properly maintained and operating safely.
- Enforce company policies, OSHA regulations, and safe work practices.
- Coordinate with production, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to improve workflow and resolve issues.
- Monitor welding supplies and materials and communicate inventory needs.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training preferred.
- 5 years of welding and fabrication experience.
- Proficiency in MIG welding.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred.
- Strong ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments and fabrication tools.
- Knowledge of welding codes, quality standards, and safe operating procedures.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
