The VoIP Telecom Manager is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of customer VoIP telecommunications systems. They will manage field and support teams to ensure that all work is completed on time and within budget. The role requires a combination of technical and interpersonal skills. Technical skills include the ability to install, configure, and maintain VoIP systems, troubleshoot technical issues related to VoIP systems and network infrastructure, and monitor network traffic to ensure optimal performance. Interpersonal skills include the ability to communicate effectively with team members, collaborate with network engineers to design and implement new VoIP solutions, and delegate work orders and assignments. The VoIP Telecom Supervisor must also have conceptual skills, which involve the ability to think critically, analyze complex situations, and make strategic decisions. Successful VoIP Telecom Supervisors are able to balance these skills to achieve their goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage field technicians and work orders to ensure that all work is completed on time and within budget.
- Ensure billable activity is accurately recorded and approved
- Setup new customers and ensure successful installation of new services.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the use of VoIP telecommunications systems.
- Monitor the performance of VoIP telecommunications systems and make recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure that all VoIP telecommunications systems are secure and meet industry standards.
- Provide training to staff on the use of VoIP telecommunications systems.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of VoIP telecommunications systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of VoIP telecommunications systems.
- At least 2 years of experience in team management.
- At least 2 years of experience in customer service.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Pay: $80,000 to $95,000 DOE
