Vice President of Information Technology
Location: Nassau County, NY office
Position Overview: The VP of IT leads the organization’s technology strategy and operations. This role is responsible for driving digital transformation, developing IT teams, maintaining oversight of systems and network infrastructure, collaborating cross-functionally to drive technological growth in all departments, and ensuring all technology investments support business goals.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Technology Leadership: Set and execute the IT vision, aligning technology initiatives with company objectives. Oversee IT operations, infrastructure, and security.
- ERP Implementation: Lead end-to-end ERP projects, including planning, integration, data migration, and change management. Ensure systems meet business needs and scale for growth.
- AI Exploration: Identify and pilot AI solutions that improve business processes and analytics. Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend practical applications.
- PowerBI Coding: Guide the development of PowerBI dashboards and reports. Ensure teams deliver actionable insights and maintain high standards for data visualization.
- Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies. Oversee data quality, compliance, and reporting accuracy across the organization.
- Team Development: Build and mentor IT teams. Foster a collaborative, innovative culture and support professional growth.
- Cost Center Evaluation: Manage IT budgets and cost centers. Analyze spending, optimize resource allocation, and support financial planning.
- Contract Negotiations: Lead negotiations with vendors and service providers. Secure favorable terms and ensure contracts align with strategic goals.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years leading IT teams and projects at a senior level
- Experience in the alcohol beverage experience preferred.
- Experience with VIP reporting systems (ex. iDig, Karma) is strongly desired.
- Expert in Excel with regards to Data Management, Reporting, and Data Analysis.
- Experience with relational databases is a plus.
- Proven track record with ERP implementations (such as Microsoft Dynamics 365).
- Hands-on experience with AI technologies and PowerBI development.
- Strong background in data governance and compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
- Experience managing IT budgets and evaluating cost centers.
- Skilled in contract negotiations and vendor management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Superior organizational skills, detail oriented, must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrates initiative, flexibility, teamwork, maturity under pressure, and anticipates and resolves problems.
- Self-starter, passion to challenge the status quo, curiosity, desire, and ability to think beyond surface level, dive deeper into financials and strategic thinking.
