As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day accounting operations and support management with accurate financial information.
Position Summary
The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, and assisting with monthly reporting. This role works closely with company leadership to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency within all accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
- Process accounts payable and receivable; ensure timely billing and payment posting.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly.
- Prepare and submit payroll using accounting or payroll software.
- Maintain vendor and customer account files.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
- Support management in budget tracking and cash flow projections.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting best practices.
- Coordinate with external accountants for annual tax preparation and audits.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (preferably in a small-to-mid-sized business).
- Strong proficiency with accounting software.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.
- Understanding of payroll, AP/AR, and basic accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
- High school diploma required, Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
Work Schedule & Benefits
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, standard business hours.
- Pay: $25.00 per hour.
- Benefits include paid time off, health insurance, and 401k.
