Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Procurement Leader to drive excellence in sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain management across our organization. This pivotal role involves leading procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing procurement processes to ensure timely delivery of quality materials and services. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive mindset, exceptional negotiation skills, and extensive experience with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS. Duties
· Work independently under organizational guidelines to achieve department operational objectives and goals.
· Develop procurement strategy aligned with business objectives across departments.
· Develop inventory management strategy in conjunction with key departments based on manufacturing plans.
· Oversee team responsible for negotiating contracts for goods, services, supplies and equipment ensuring quality, cost effectiveness and timely delivery. Manage all aspects of contractual relationships with vendors.
· Create and align purchasing processes around SOP.
· Resolve escalated disputes with vendors.
· Work with related departments to create planning strategy aligned with production cycle and business objectives.
· Supervisory responsibility involving staffing, conducting performance appraisals, training and developing subordinates, promotions, salary increases, disciplinary actions and terminations.
· Communicate sourcing and planning problems and issues with corrective actions to executive management.
· Lead cross-functional project teams in the design and implementation of improved material management processes.
· Meets inventory targets, plan run out, and new model introductions.
· Prepares annual purchasing budgets.
· Works closely with parent company to align in global purchasing strategies.
· Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
· Perform stationary work 85% of the time using a computer and applicable office equipment
· Perform work on the production floor 15% of the time – observing and interacting with various departments
Education/Skills/Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, manufacturing engineering, or materials management required with emphasis in supply chain management preferred. APICS and or CPM certification (preferred).
· Previous experience in an OEM environment prefered
· 7-10 years’ experience with increasing leadership responsibility in manufacturing environment with international partners a plus
· Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities.
· Strong contract negotiation skills and ability to navigate supplier relationships strategically while monitoring performance, goals and objectives.
· Advanced computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and SAP required.
· Successful experience in supplier rationalization, price reductions and lead-time reductions.
· Ability to work under pressure and manage many tasks/projects simultaneously.
· Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and Just-In-Time materials management methodologies.
· Understanding of various strategies for materials procurement and placement and flow to maximize efficiency, reduce costs and increase inventory turns
· Manage process improvement projects related to the purchasing function.

Pay: $165,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
