Social Worker Assistant (Mandarin Required) — Adult Day Health Care
About Us
We are a Community-Based Adult Services (CBAS) program serving elderly and disabled adults in the San Gabriel Valley. Our participants are predominantly Mandarin-speaking, and we provide culturally responsive care that helps them stay healthy, engaged, and living independently in their community.
The Role
We're hiring a Social Worker Assistant to support our social work team in delivering person-centered care. You'll work under the supervision of a senior Social Worker, assisting with participant assessments, care coordination, documentation, and day-to-day support for our members and their families.
What You'll Do
- Assist the social work team with participant intake, assessments, and care plan documentation
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with CBAS/Medi-Cal requirements
- Communicate with participants and families in Mandarin to understand needs and coordinate services
- Help connect participants to community resources and follow up on referrals
- Support scheduling, case follow-up, and interdepartmental coordination
- Document interactions clearly and factually under supervisor review
What You Bring
- Fluent Mandarin (spoken) — required for daily communication with our participants
- Cantonese strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, gerontology, human services, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation
- Comfort working with elderly and disabled adults with patience and empathy
- Reliable, collaborative, and able to follow established processes and supervision
Nice to Have
- Experience in adult day care, senior services, healthcare, or social services
- Familiarity with Medi-Cal, CBAS, or Title 22 requirements
- Bilingual documentation ability

Schedule: Monday–Fridays: Mornings to Afternoons.
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
