Location: Glens Falls, NY (On-site)
Reports To: VP of Sales
Overview
Sales Development Representative to join our growing team. This role begins in Inside Sales, where you will learn our products, customers, and industry from the ground up—supporting customer inquiries, quoting, and prospecting. Over time, as you gain experience and demonstrate success, you’ll transition into an Outside Sales Territory Representative role, managing your own accounts and territory.

What You’ll Do (Inside Sales Phase)
- Work onsite at our Glens Falls headquarters, gaining deep product and industry knowledge.
- Support incoming customer inquiries by providing product recommendations, pricing, and quotes.
- Partner with our VP of Sales, Inside Sales, and external reps to understand customer needs.
- Conduct outbound prospecting calls and emails to identify new opportunities.
- Maintain accurate customer data and opportunities in CRM.
- Build strong relationships with distributors, municipalities, engineers, and contractors.
- Assist with sales support functions such as order entry, documentation, and reporting.
What You’ll Do (Transition to Outside Sales)
- Shadow and travel with senior sales leaders to learn territory management.
- Conduct customer visits, presentations, and product demonstrations in the field.
- Manage assigned accounts and grow relationships with distributors, contractors, and municipalities.
- Develop and execute a territory growth plan, including prospecting new accounts.
- Represent Flomatic at trade shows, industry events, and customer training sessions.
- Drive revenue growth by positioning Flomatic’s valves as the preferred solution.
What We’re Looking For
- Military veteran, ROTC graduate, or early-career professional seeking a growth path.
- Interest in technical products, engineering solutions, or industrial sales.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and close deals.
- Excellent communication (written & verbal) and organizational skills.
- High energy, competitive mindset, and desire to win in sales.
- Willingness to travel (after initial Inside Sales training phase).
Preferred but Not Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Prior sales, customer service, or technical experience.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and structured sales processes.
Compensation & Benefits
- $60,000-$65,000 (DOE)
- Quarterly Bonus
