We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Business Development to lead and optimize the admissions process across the organization. This role partners closely with department leaders to enhance operational effectiveness, improve customer experience, drive admissions growth, and support organizational goals through leadership, process improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative healthcare leader with strong admissions, sales, and operational expertise who can effectively coach teams, manage systems, and analyze performance metrics to achieve measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet the physical and sensory requirements stated below and be able to work in the described environment.
- Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives that improve the customer experience, enhance workflow, and/or improve the work environment.
- Management duties including, but not limited to, hiring, training and developing, coaching and counseling, and terminating department staff, as deemed necessary.
- Ensure that all employment practices are administered fairly and without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, marital status, amnesty, or veteran status in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
- Directing the company admission process execution and education.
- Partnering with key department leaders to direct lead management and CRM system initiatives.
- Serving as key contact for admissions process policy and procedures.
- Serving as home office leader of central intake.
- Manage and maintain efficiencies of companywide e-referral systems.
- Review impact of business development on data points, i.e. referral conversion rate, referral growth rate, Medicare market share. Establish appropriate processes and goals to achieve the company’s desired outcomes.
- Review and analyze all data points related to admissions and revenue cycle. Establish appropriate processes and goals to achieve the company’s desired outcomes.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Federal and State regulations and reimbursement (Managed Care, Medicare, and Medicaid).
- Manage and assist with requesting and completing facility contracts on discharge solutions and provider agreements.
- Provide assistance with orientation for all new admissions, marketing, and liaison stakeholders.
- Other special projects and duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field preferred. Equivalent related work experience may be acceptable.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in healthcare (a sales and/or admissions leadership role with a proven track record preferred).
- Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
- Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Internet and Intranet navigation.
- Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.
- Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high level of quality and productivity.

Your Work Environment
- You’ll work mostly indoors on floors that are tiled or carpeted.
