Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our Admin team.
In this vital role, you will execute procurement activities, manage vendor invoices, and ensure the timely acquisition of materials. You will also track and order products and other items to support production, merchandising, and operational needs.
This position will drive efficiency, cost savings, and seamless supply chain operations.
Responsibilities
- Follow procurement processes to ensure accurate purchase order creation and tracking.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts that optimize costs and quality.
- Manage inventory levels through effective inventory control, materials management, and demand forecasting to support production planning and merchandising initiatives.
- Conduct sourcing activities for raw materials, components, and finished goods across e-commerce platforms and traditional supply channels.
- Monitor supply chain performance metrics including logistics, delivery schedules, and inventory turnover to identify areas for improvement.
- Support procurement strategies by analyzing market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier performance data.
- Facilitate communication between departments on procurement status, contract compliance, and supply chain disruptions.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
- Proven experience with systems such as SAP or SAP ERP in a purchasing or materials management role.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes
- Familiarity with supply chain management concepts such as logistics, production planning, inventory control, and merchandising.
- Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to optimize inventory levels aligned with manufacturing schedules.
- Excellent Administrative skills with the ability to report on Purchasing Orders, Material Costs, Customers' outstanding payments, and Vendor Invoices.
- Ability to analyze data related to pricing trends, supply chain performance metrics, and market conditions for strategic decision-making.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors efficiently.
