We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Production Manager specialized in Plastics Injection Molding to lead our manufacturing operations. Duties
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of plastics injection molding production, execution of schedule, staffing, and process management to meet production targets.
- Utilize manufacturing management systems such as SAP, ERP, and MRP to plan, monitor, and optimize production workflows.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance process efficiency and reduce waste.
- Oversee quality control procedures to ensure products meet stringent standards and specifications.
- Analyze data from Excel and supply chain analytics tools to identify bottlenecks, forecast demand, and improve overall plant performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, supply chain management, and quality assurance to streamline operations and implement process improvements.
- Manage production planning and scheduling to align with customer orders while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Lead efforts in plant management by maintaining safety standards, mechanical troubleshooting knowledge, and implementing lean management practices.
- Direct, manage, coach, and develop supervisors and technical staff.
- Foster a culture of accountability, respect, and performance across the team.
- With HR support, hold employees accountable for safety, quality, attendance, and adherence to polices and procedures.
- May lead or support CAPA's.
- Develop, improve, and update product documentation.
Experience
- Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment specializing in plastics injection molding or similar processes.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing management systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in process improvement methodologies including Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement strategies.
- Leadership experience managing diverse teams in a fast-paced setting with cross-functional communication skills.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to injection molding equipment is highly desirable.
