Manufacturing Manager – Injection Molding
Location: Leominster, MA
Direct thermoplastic injection molding experience is required.
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Manufacturing Manager – Injection Molding to oversee daily manufacturing operations, lead production teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in thermoplastic injection molding, production management, process optimization, and manufacturing operations. This position requires a leader who can effectively manage production activities, troubleshoot manufacturing challenges, and ensure operational efficiency, product quality, and on-time delivery.
Requirements:
- Direct thermoplastic injection molding experience is required.
- Progressive manufacturing leadership experience in injection molding or related manufacturing operations.
- Strong technical knowledge of injection molding equipment, thermoplastic materials, tooling, process optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience supervising and developing production supervisors, process technicians, and manufacturing employees.
- Strong understanding of production scheduling, capacity planning, labor utilization, quality control, scrap reduction, and equipment downtime.
- Demonstrated ability to improve manufacturing productivity, operational efficiency, product quality, and production performance.
- Experience collaborating with Engineering, Quality, Tooling, Maintenance, and Production departments.
- Ability to identify manufacturing issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Hands-on leadership approach with a strong presence on the manufacturing floor.
- Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Qualifications:
- Experience in medical device manufacturing, ISO 13485, FDA-regulated, or similar regulated manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with precision machining, plating, assembly, and secondary manufacturing operations.
- Background in new product introductions, process validation, manufacturing scale-up, and production transfers.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent relevant manufacturing experience will also be considered.
Salary : $140,000 - $150,000
