Payroll Manager
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, process-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity healthcare (dental preferred) environment.
The Payroll Manager will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll across all practice locations with the Dental Group. This role requires deep expertise in ADP payroll platforms, multi-state tax compliance, physician and provider compensation structures, and benefit plan administration for 401(k).

Qualifications
- 5 years of Payroll Management Experience
- 2 years of Multi-Site Healthcare, DSO, or similarly complex organization PREFERRED
- ADP Workforce Now Experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of multi-state payroll tax compliance & nexus requirements
- Experience administering production-based or percentage compensation plans for physicians or providers
- Solid understanding of 401(k) plan mechanics and contribution remittance timelines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data validation)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive compensation data with discretion
- Excellent communication skills — able to explain payroll concepts to non-payroll stakeholders
- Prior experience in a dental or medical group practice, DSO, or multi-site healthcare company
- Familiarity with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Denticon) and payroll reporting integration
- Experience supporting M&A activity and onboarding acquired entities into an existing payroll system
- Knowledge of PTO accrual management, leave laws (FMLA, state-specific), and state final pay rules
- Experience with ADP SmartCompliance or ADP Reporting/Insights modules
Work Environment/Schedule:
- This position may be performed on-site, hybrid, or remote depending on organizational needs.
- This is a full-time, exempt role with year-round payroll activity
- Some extended hours may be required during audits, quarter-end, and year-end periods.
