Packing House Production Manager

*Overview*

We are seeking a packing house production manager to oversee all aspects of fruit handling and packing for a small date company. Duties include overseeing packing crew and production, quality control, food safety and other compliance, documenting production, coordinate materials, and other related operational tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in date or other produce handling, packing house operations and specifically management or supervisory experience of packing operations.

*Responsibilities*

- Supervise and coordinate crop processing and packing activities

- Supervise packing crew, ensure product quality and consistency, ensure compliance with food safety and organic handling procedures

- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficient with basic computer programs and printers

- Manage inventory of both crop and packing materials

- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe work environment

*Qualifications*

- Bilingual English & Spanish, and ability to read and write both

- Preferred minimum 5 years in date or produce packing house production management

- Computer literacy including data collection and reporting (Excel or Google), email (outlook), and networked printers and other related devices

- Ability to lead a team effectively and prioritize tasks efficiently, work independently and uphold production output metrics

- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety protocols

- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and external partners

- Compensation commensurate with experience

- Hours can vary and availability to work occasional weekends or overtime required

- Ability to perform various tasks as needed, ability to work independently, make decisions, and prioritize tasks

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
