Operational Excellence (OpX) Engineer
Full time - Onsite with 50% travel
Toyota Production System experience required.
Seeking an experienced Operational Excellence (OpX) Engineer to lead Continuous Improvement and Lean initiatives across a manufacturing organization.
This role drives process optimization to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity while fostering a culture of Continuous Improvement aligned with World Class Operations standards.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and execute Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives to deliver measurable performance results.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste, streamline workflows, and lower costs across the Operations Value Chain.
- Develop, implement, and oversee project management frameworks for operational improvement programs.
- Manage and mentor a team of Kaizen Technicians, ensuring project execution, progress tracking, and follow-up.
- Facilitate root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts across all organizational levels.
- Design and deliver training to strengthen Lean and World Class Operations capabilities across teams.
- Coach employees and leaders to embed a Continuous Improvement mindset and support cultural transformation.
- Analyze operational data (OEE, downtime, Pareto analysis) to identify trends and prioritize improvement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date SOPs, process documentation, and best-practice materials.
- Partner with leadership to ensure improvement initiatives align with broader business strategies.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 10 years of experience in Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, or Continuous Improvement.
- Strong expertise in Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, SMED, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, etc.).
- Proven project management skills and experience leading multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.
- Demonstrated success coaching and training employees at all levels in Lean principles.
- Ability to influence, lead change, and drive a culture of Continuous Improvement.
Salary : $110,000 - $145,000
