Office Manager – Construction Industry (10 Years Experience Required)
Location: Waco, TX Area
Pay: $30–$35 per hour
An established and growing construction company in the Waco area is seeking a high-level Office Manager with extensive experience managing the office operations of a construction company.
This is not an entry-level administrative position. We are looking for a proven leader who has successfully managed a construction company office, understands construction accounting, and can operate in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.

What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a driven, organized, and proactive leader who takes ownership of their work and does not need constant supervision. The ideal candidate is someone who can manage multiple responsibilities, lead a team, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
This position requires someone who can keep a construction business financially organized while supporting leadership in managing the company’s financial performance.
Minimum Requirements (No Exceptions)
- Minimum 10 years managing the office of a construction company
- Strong background in accounting and bookkeeping
- Proven experience managing and leading office staff
- Experience supervising bookkeepers and administrative personnel
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
- Experience managing payroll
- Ability to prepare and understand:
- Profit & Loss statements
- Balance Sheets
- Cash Flow reports
- Experience handling compliance filings such as:
- Texas Franchise Tax
- Secretary of State filings
- Other required regulatory filings
- Ability to coordinate with an external CPA firm for tax preparation and financial reporting
- Professional references required
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage two bookkeepers and office staff
- Oversee all daily office and accounting operations
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping and financial reporting
- Manage payroll processing
- Prepare and review monthly financial reports
- Maintain compliance with required state and regulatory filings
- Work directly with company leadership on financial performance
- Coordinate with the company’s CPA firm for tax and financial matters
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA preferred but not required
- Experience managing a team of 4–5 office/accounting staff
- Strong understanding of construction financial management and job costing
Compensation & Benefits
- $30–$35 per hour depending on experience
- Full benefits available after 60 days
