Construction Yard Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and organized Construction Yard Manager to oversee daily yard operations, equipment management, and inventory control. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, experience operating heavy equipment, and the ability to maintain accurate inventory records.

Responsibilities

• Manage and organize daily operations of the construction yard.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
• Operate loaders and forklifts safely and effectively.
• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming materials and equipment.
• Create, maintain, and update inventory lists for tools, materials, and equipment.
• Track inventory levels and report shortages or replenishment needs.
• Coordinate material deliveries and pickups with project teams and vendors.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and equipment inspections.
• Communicate effectively with field personnel, office staff and suppliers.
• Ensure proper storage and security of company assets.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction yard, warehouse, or equipment management preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate a loader and forklift safely and efficiently.
• Experience with inventory management and record keeping.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Valid driver's license required.
