Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Mitigation Technician to join our restoration team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing damage mitigation and restoration services, including water and fire damage repair, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement. This role requires a proactive individual with hands-on skills in cleaning, construction, and the use of various tools. Prior experience in the restoration industry is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The Mitigation Technician plays a vital role in helping clients recover from property damages efficiently and professionally.
Duties
- Perform water damage restoration, fire damage repair, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement tasks
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to carry out demolition, cleaning, and repair activities
- Conduct carpet cleaning and other surface cleaning services as needed
- Assist with construction-related tasks to restore properties to their pre-damage condition
- Follow safety protocols during all mitigation procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Document work performed and communicate effectively with team members and clients
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and properly handle hazardous materials in accordance with industry standards
- On call weekends and nights
Skills
- Experience with cleaning, fire restoration, water damage restoration, and mold remediation is highly desirable
- Knowledge of the restoration industry practices and procedures
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Familiarity with construction processes related to property restoration
- Experience with carpet cleaning and asbestos abatement is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in physically demanding environments
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate tasks and ensure quality service
Qualifications:
- Current IICRC certification (WRT ASD and Required)
- Prior water mitigation or restoration experience
- Strong documentation and job management skills
- Professional appearance and communication
- Ability to drive and have clean DMV
