A well-established, multi-brand apparel company is seeking a Merchandise Planner to support strategic merchandise planning and inventory management across wholesale channels, including specialty retailers, department stores, and marketplace accounts.
This role partners closely with Sales, Production, and Operations to align demand, inventory strategy, and financial performance. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain seasonal and monthly merchandise financial plans
- Support monthly Open-to-Buy (OTB) and demand planning processes
- Incorporate customer forecasts, bookings, and replenishment trends into planning strategies
- Analyze sell-through, inventory levels, and margin performance
- Identify risks and opportunities through weekly and monthly reporting
- Partner cross-functionally to align production timing and inventory flow
- Support pricing and margin analysis
- Maintain planning data within ERP systems (BlueCherry or similar preferred)
Qualifications
- 2–7 years of merchandise planning or inventory management experience (wholesale apparel preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
- Experience working in an ERP or planning system
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Experience in apparel or related category preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Merchandising, or related field
