Mechanical Engineer – Hotel

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our hotel's engineering team. The ideal candidate will maintain, repair, and operate all mechanical systems throughout the property, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and repair boilers, HVAC systems, chillers, pumps, and related mechanical equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and respond promptly to equipment malfunctions or emergencies
- Monitor building systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, hot water, laundry equipment) for optimal performance
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment readings, maintenance activities, and repairs
- Ensure compliance with all local codes, safety regulations, and boiler inspection requirements
- Assist with general facility repairs (plumbing, electrical support, etc.) as needed
- Respond to guest room and public area maintenance requests
- Participate in on-call/emergency rotation as required
Qualifications
- Valid Boiler License required (per local/state jurisdiction)
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in mechanical/facilities maintenance, hotel experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to lift up to [X lbs], climb ladders, and work in varied conditions
Preferred
- Additional certifications (EPA, HVAC, electrical)
- Experience with building automation systems (BAS)
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
