Duties
- Greet prospective tenants promptly and professionally, providing comprehensive information about available units and community amenities.
- Manage lease or rental agreement processes using property management tools such as Yardi, OneSite, and other CRM systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct property tours, upselling features and benefits to maximize occupancy rates while addressing client needs and preferences.
- Verify applicant credentials, including Section 8 housing assistance programs and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) compliance requirements.
- Handle legal administrative tasks related to lease signing, contract management, filing, and maintaining accurate records in accordance with fair housing regulations.
- Resolve conflicts or concerns from tenants or applicants through effective conflict management strategies and professional communication.
- Collaborate with team members on property maintenance issues, budgeting considerations, and facilities management to ensure a well-maintained living environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or leasing roles, ideally within a property management company environment.
- Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and Section 8 housing programs.
- Proficiency with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or similar tools; experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills paired with effective phone etiquette and client communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, upselling, and contract management to maximize leasing opportunities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and correspondence purposes.
- Experience in real estate administrative tasks including filing, conflict resolution, and lease administration.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team management skills are desirable for coordinating with maintenance staff and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
