Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Inventory Planning Manager that based in office environments within manufacturing facilities and is responsible for coordinating scheduling across multiple sites. This position includes routine visits to production areas to monitor processes, verify inventory levels, and address issues. The planner reviews the master production schedule, work orders, and sets priorities for machining schedules and customer due dates.
Duties
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency
- Manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities
- Monitor inventory levels and oversee stock control procedures
- Analyze logistics data and prepare performance reports
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
- Resolve shipping and delivery issues promptly
- Collaborate with sales, production, and procurement teams
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics functions
- Distributes work orders to departments, denoting number, type, and proposed completion date of units to be produced.
- On-time delivery percentage
- Cost of production and waste reduction
- Customer satisfaction and complaint resolution
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with 2 years in a managerial capacity
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, professionalism, integrity, teamwork, relationship building, results orientation and leadership skills
- Experience working as a Production Planner/Scheduler or 3-5 years of experience working in a role with similar responsibility within manufacturing environment.
Computer Skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Suite
- Previous experience with ERP Solution, preferably D365, Netsuites
