Inventory SIOP Coordinator
Department: Supply Chain / Operations
Reports To: Sr. Director of Supply Chain
Location: Plymouth
Our client, a growing organization expanding its supply chain operations, is seeking an Inventory SIOP Coordinator to support the continued development of its Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process. This is a newly expanded role driven by company growth and increasing demand for stronger inventory planning and forecasting alignment.
The Inventory SIOP Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating demand planning, inventory management, and supply planning activities, helping ensure alignment across Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Finance. This position offers strong visibility across the organization and is ideal for someone who enjoys data analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and improving planning processes.
Key Responsibilities
SIOP Process Support
- Support and coordinate the monthly SIOP planning cycle, including data gathering, analysis, reporting, and meeting preparation.
- Facilitate demand planning discussions with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management teams.
- Consolidate demand forecasts using historical demand data and stakeholder inputs.
- Partner with Operations and Procurement teams to align supply plans with demand forecasts.
- Prepare key materials for SIOP meetings including demand forecasts, inventory forecasts, new product performance, and aged inventory analysis.
Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels against target levels and safety stock requirements.
- Identify excess, obsolete, or slow-moving inventory and recommend corrective actions.
- Analyze inventory trends, inventory turns, and service levels to support operational efficiency.
Forecast & Demand Planning
- Maintain and update forecast data within ERP/MRP systems.
- Track forecast accuracy and bias, identifying drivers of variances.
- Collaborate with Sales and Operations to adjust forecasts based on changing market conditions.
- Support SKU optimization and consolidation initiatives.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze warehouse capacity, receiving capabilities, and space utilization opportunities.
- Develop dashboards and reporting to track key planning and inventory KPIs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a liaison between Sales, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Product teams.
- Help ensure inventory planning strategies align with financial and operational objectives.
- Escalate potential supply risks or demand gaps to leadership.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- 4 years of experience in supply chain, inventory planning, demand planning, purchasing, or procurement.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and forecasting tools.
- Experience supporting or coordinating SIOP / S&OP planning processes.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Phocas is a plus.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Solid understanding of inventory management and forecasting principles.
