Job Summary

This position will manage inventory flow for MRO / Supply items from the Parts Cribs. They will manage inventory through our ERP System, Plex, by using such tools as Min/Max to determine replenishment. Employee will issue purchase orders, receive, put away, and distribute materials throughout the plant as needed. Employee will monitor the flow of materials in and out of the crib to ensure accurate inventory. Employee will coordinate and perform monthly cycle counts for the MRO supplies as well as semi-annual inventory physical counts. Employee will work with vendors on vendor managed product and all incoming and outgoing maintenance repairable items. This position will operate primarily out of the tool crib. This position will back up the shipping department, and may be asked to load and unload trucks. Employee will be given other tasks as assigned. Experience in these areas is a plus, but we will train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Receives store room commodities and places in correct/ store bin location.
  • Issues all store room commodities to employees recording department and employee number.
  • Keeps records of components re-issued and returned by workers by running usage report.
  • Generate Min/Max reports to monitor inventory levels.
  • Generate purchase orders based on need.
  • Monitor on-time delivery of purchased items for crib, including communication with suppliers.
  • Fills out tooling checkout form to record parts used from the Supply Store.
  • Manage VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) Suppliers and monitor Min/Max levels, add new items, and maintain racking and storage supplied by them.
  • Work with various departments to determine if items are active. If not, list items for sale.
  • Keep inventory crib, rack, and surrounding areas clean.
  • Manage and perform monthly cycle counts on Crib / MRO inventory.
  • Participate in Semi-Annual physical Inventory of MRO, direct, and indirect inventory.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Regularly scheduled follow up training and competency evaluation will take place annually and be included with an employee’s annual evaluation summary and maintained by HR in the employee records.
  • Complies with the following OSHA Safety Standards: Hazard Communication; Blood-borne Pathogens; Lockout; Permit Required Confined Space; Hot Work Permit; Powered Industrial Trucks; P.P.E. and Ergonomics
  • When necessary, participate in classes and training seminars to learn new technologies and techniques deemed helpful to performance on the job

Academic Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalency (HSED or GED).

Required Skills & Experience

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, with emphasis on Microsoft Excel
  • Warehouse order picking / fulfillment a plus
  • Entry level purchasing / Inventory management a plus
  • Experience working with inventory database system / ERP a plus
  • Forklift operation experience a plus
  • Computer (Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and Word)

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Works in a fast-paced environment under minimum supervision. Routine responsibilities and duties involve the use of various procedures and the application of clearly prescribed standards of practice, requiring the use of good judgment. Must work with a high degree of accuracy..
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • The job works in conditions with frequent exposure to loud noise, heavy lifting, heavy overhead lifting, heavy machinery and sharp tools.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Climbing of stairs often (2 floor cribs)
  • Bending, crouching, twisting and reaching required
  • The person in this environment with multiple priorities. There is no travel required to fulfill this position.
