The HR Operations Specialist plays a key role in ensuring a smooth, well-supported employee lifecycle—from onboarding to offboarding and everything in between. You will own core HR processes, maintain high data integrity, and act as a trusted partner to employees, supervisors, and leadership.
This is a highly visible role that supports compliance, HR systems accuracy, employee communication, and consistent HR service delivery across the organization.
What You’ll Own & Support
✨ Employee Experience & HR Support
- Serve as a responsive, solutions-focused point of contact for employee inquiries.
- Deliver exceptional internal customer service with professionalism, clarity, and confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate HRIS records, personnel files, and employee documentation.
🚀 Onboarding (Owner)
- Manage the full onboarding experience from offer acceptance through day one.
- Coordinate system setup, credentials, training assignments, and cross-functional workflows.
- Ensure every new hire receives a seamless, well-organized introduction to the company.
📤 Offboarding (Owner)
- Oversee all separation activities including system access removal, documentation, and equipment return.
- Communicate with leaders and employees to ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and compliance standards.
💼 Benefits Administration
- Support benefit eligibility, life events, and general employee benefit questions.
- Respond to state PFML inquiries, coordinate Workers’ Compensation claims, and manage communication with insurers for Short-Term Disability requests.
- Assist with Open Enrollment and maintain accuracy across HRIS, benefits, and payroll.
💰 Compensation & Bonus Processing
- Enter bonuses, incentives, and variable pay into HR systems with precision.
- Partner with leadership to validate and reconcile data before payroll deadlines.
🖥️ HR Systems Data Integrity
- Maintain lifecycle updates, permissions, and employee access in HR systems (Paycom).
- Conduct monthly audits and generate reports for leadership.
📘 Documentation & SOPs
- Create and refine Standard Operating Procedures to support consistent, efficient HR workflows.
- Identify process gaps and recommend scalable improvements.
🔍 Recruiting & ATS Support
- Post job openings, screen for minimum qualifications, schedule interviews, and move candidates through the hiring process.
- Ensure accuracy in job postings, requisitions, and applicant data.
- Guide managers on ATS best practices to maintain a professional candidate experience.
What We’re Looking For
📚 Education
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field—or equivalent experience.
🧩 Experience
- 2 years of HR or administrative experience preferred.
- Experience with HRIS, payroll, or benefits administration strongly preferred.
- SHRM-CP/PHR a plus.
