Job Summary:
The Human Resources Manager oversees and directly implements all aspects of Human Resources including employee relations, payroll and compensation, benefits administration, compliance and policy and procedure development.

Duties/Responsibilities:
· Prepare bi-weekly payroll through ADP Workforce, including maintenance of employee records and time and attendance input.
· Remit 403b payroll contributions to recordkeeper on a bi-weekly basis.
· Prepare bi-weekly payroll journal entry.
· Administer all employee benefits (health, dental, section 125, 403(b) retirement plan, short and long-term disability, life and accidental death and AD&D, and COBRA). Communicate benefits information to employees and handle general benefits questions from employees. Manage the benefits annual open enrollment. Manage Employee Navigator, the employee benefits system.
· Administer the exit process: terminate employees in both payroll and benefits systems, coordinate COBRA benefits, and respond to unemployment insurance claims.
· Work with the leadership team to update and distribute the employee handbook on an annual basis. Ensure the handbook acknowledgement is signed and returned by all employees.
· Remit payment for all health benefits policies. Code benefit invoices for proper general ledger classification and submit to Accounts Payable as needed.
· Prepare and maintain all salary planning worksheets. Prepare annual employment agreement letters for all employees.
· Coordinate and prepare workpapers for the annual 403b audit. Submit all back-up documentation for audit requests.
· Prepare annual 1095 documents for the health plan.
· Develop, edit, and update job descriptions for all employees. Classify employees appropriately under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
· Support hiring managers in recruitment by posting job openings to appropriate websites. Review incoming applications and forward potential candidates to the hiring manager.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and apply sound judgment regarding protected information.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, and related software as well as other accounting software programs.
· Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.
· Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with staff.
· Ability to effectively deal with multiple priorities, functions, and activities.
· Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources or related field required.
· Minimum of five years of increasingly responsible human resources experience is required.
A human resources background in the education field is strongly preferred.
· Working knowledge of human resources principles, procedures, and practices.
· Working knowledge of accounting theory and practice.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
