Front Desk / Hygiene Coordinator
Job Type: Full-Time (4 Days per Week)
Pay: $28–$33 per hour (DOE)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Front Desk / Hygiene Coordinator to join our patient-focused dental practice. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for patients while ensuring the hygiene schedule operates efficiently and helping drive patient retention and practice growth. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and thrives in a fast-paced dental environment.
Responsibilities
Welcome and check in patients while providing exceptional customer service.
Answer incoming calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
Schedule hygiene and restorative appointments while optimizing the daily schedule.
Manage recall appointments and maintain recall accuracy in Open Dental.
Communicate with patients regarding appointments and treatment needs.
Coordinate referrals and communication with specialty offices.
Collect patient payments at the time of service.
Execute patient reactivation efforts for inactive patients.
Support new patient recruitment and promote the practice's referral program.
Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to an efficient, positive front office experience.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a dental office or specialty practice.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional phone etiquette.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Experience with Open Dental is preferred.
Compensation & Schedule
Full-Time
4-day work week
$28–$33 per hour, depending on experience
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
