What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Technician - Dental Equipment position at Confidential?
Field Service Technician – Dental Equipment (Assembly & Repair)
Tired of the shop floor? Bring your mechanical skills into the A/C.
If you are an auto mechanic, diesel technician, or mechanical assembly specialist who loves solving complex diagnostic puzzles but is tired of breaking your back in a hot garage, this is your next step.
We are hiring a Dental Equipment Field Service Technician. Instead of grease-heavy engine blocks, you will use your mechanical mindset to assemble, install, and repair state-of-the-art dental chairs and delivery systems. You get to keep doing high-level mechanical and electrical work, but inside clean, modern, fully air-conditioned dental clinics.
What You’ll Do Daily
- Assemble & Install: Build new dental chairs and hydraulic systems from the ground up at new clinic openings or office upgrades.
- Diagnose & Repair: Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and low-voltage electrical issues on-site.
- Hit the Road: Travel to client sites to handle scheduled maintenance and emergency fixes. All travel expenses (mileage, hotels, meals) are 100% covered by the company.
- Customer Service: Act as the face of the company, explaining technical issues clearly to dentists and clinical staff.
Why This is the Perfect Move for an Auto Mechanic
Your existing skillset maps perfectly to this industry. You already know how to trace a fault, but the working conditions here are a massive upgrade:
Hot summers, freezing winters Vs 100% Air-Conditioned clinics
Heavy lifting, grease, and grime Vs Clean components, ergonomic precision, Medium lifting
Complex wiring, 12V systems, fluid lines Vs Low-voltage DC, pneumatics, hydraulics
Buying your own expensive tools Vs Company-provided specialty tools
What We Are Looking For
- The Mechanical Mindset: Proven experience repairing complex systems (automotive, material handling, or military mechanical backgrounds are highly valued).
- Technical Agility: Ability to read schematics, use a multimeter, and understand hydraulic fluid flow.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel by car or plane. You enjoy a change of scenery and don't want to be stuck in the exact same bay every day.
- Professional Presence: Excellent communication skills and a clean driving record.
What We Offer
- Competitive hourly base pay with overtime opportunities.
- Full company-paid travel expenses
- All specialized tools.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) matching.
- Robust onboarding and factory training program to teach you the specific equipment.
Growth Opportunities: We invest in our employees’ professional development, offering ample opportunities for learning and career advancement
Competitive Compensation: We provide a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive salary commensurate with experience

Salary : $20 - $25
