The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager provides strategic leadership in ensuring a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace environment.
This position involves overseeing, implementing, and improving safety and environmental programs to align with government regulations, industry standards, and organizational goals.
The EHS Manager is responsible for evaluating workplace environments, equipment, and processes to identify potential risks and ensuring proactive measures are in place to mitigate hazards. Additionally, the EHS Manager leads compliance audits, develops safety training programs, and fosters a culture of safety and sustainability across all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities * Leading and managing all aspects of environmental, health, and safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards. Coordinating EHS programs Assisting Safety teams including safety committee meetings Overseeing EHS training and conduct site specific training *Work with Toyota at TGTX and with other TG AMC Safety leaders to ensure compliance * Conducting inspections and risk assessments to identify and address potential hazards. * Developing, implementing, and updating EHS policies and procedures to reflect best practices and regulatory changes. * Providing training and guidance to employees and management to promote a strong safety culture. * Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure environmental sustainability efforts align with business objectives. * * * Investigating accidents, incidents, and near-misses, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions. *Managing environmental compliance programs, including hazardous waste disposal, air emissions, and water quality standards. *Reporting on EHS performance metrics to senior leadership and recommending continuous improvement initiatives. * Oversee and maintain Workmen's Compensation cases
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in occupational health, safety, or a related scientific field or equivalent to 7 years experience * 3 years experience on health and safety implementation preferably in automotive industry. *Some environmental compliance experience is desired. Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills *Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Project, Power Point, Word) *Strong presentation skills.

Pay: $60,864.80 - $80,000.00 per year
