A global industrial organization is seeking a Director of Talent Acquisition to lead its US recruiting function and help shape the future of its global talent acquisition capability. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role for someone who can elevate processes, strengthen teams, and build a scalable recruiting engine for a growing, multinational business.
This position is base full-time onsite in Downers Grove, Illinois.
What You’ll Lead
- Oversee all US recruiting operations, managing a team of two (with a third joining via acquisition and a potential fourth pending future budget approval).
- Act as a working leader who executes select full-cycle searches while developing, coaching, and elevating the TA team.
- Partner with HR and business leaders across corporate, field, and manufacturing environments.
- Lead Talent Acquisition efforts for roles ranging from individual contributors to professional and leadership levels.
What You’ll Own
- Full lifecycle recruiting across sourcing, selection, employer branding, candidate experience, pipeline development, and workforce planning.
- Optimization and automation of reporting, requisition dashboards, and TA analytics.
- Reduction of agency spend by improving internal capabilities, processes, and recruiting tools.
- Strengthening onboarding practices, including manager training, checklists, and process consistency across US locations.
US-Led, Globally Connected
- While the top priority is elevating US recruiting operations, the Director will also play a meaningful role in supporting global TA needs in parallel. Responsibilities include:
- Guiding international teams across Europe, Mexico, Brazil, China, India, Thailand, the Netherlands, Spain, and Belgium on recruiting processes, tools, and selection strategies.
- Acting as a subject matter expert on global TA best practices and hiring manager training.
- Supporting the onboarding and development of international recruiters as global hiring continues to scale.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or certifications in HR or Talent Acquisition a plus.
- 10 years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, including leadership roles.
- Proven success in building and managing recruiting teams and strategies.
- Strong knowledge of modern sourcing techniques, tools, and applicant tracking systems.
- Experience in high-volume and technical recruiting environments preferred.
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
