The Regional Sales Director is responsible for leading and executing the company’s sales strategy across Northern Illinois. This role oversees a team of sales professionals, drives revenue growth, builds strong customer relationships, and ensures alignment with broader organizational goals. The ideal candidate brings a mix of strategic thinking, hands-on leadership, and a strong track record of exceeding sales targets in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement a regional sales plan to achieve revenue and growth targets
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify new opportunities
- Forecast sales performance and provide regular reporting to senior leadership
- Optimize territory coverage and account allocation
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team
- Set clear performance expectations and KPIs
- Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews, and professional development planning
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Customer & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Participate in high-level negotiations and strategic account management
- Ensure customer satisfaction and retention through proactive engagement
Operational Excellence
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and product teams to align go-to-market strategies
- Implement and maintain CRM tools and sales processes
- Monitor pipeline health and ensure disciplined sales execution
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare or a related field
- 7–10 years of progressive sales experience, including 3 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
Preferred:
- Experience managing multi-territory or regional sales teams
- Familiarity with Northern Illinois market dynamics
- Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce)
- MBA or advanced degree
