Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. This role is pivotal in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring inventory is properly managed, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the organization’s goals.
You’ll work closely with the CFO to ensure accurate, timely accounting and financial reporting for all entities. Typical duties:
- Weekly reconciliation of merchant processor deposits
- Accounts payable entry and new vendor setup
- Accounts receivable and collections
- Purchase order processing and supplier management
- Inventory demand planning and forecasting, including maintaining all assumptions
- Discontinued product analysis and recommendations
- Semi-monthly payroll for all businesses
- Financial statement preparation (weekly for primary business and monthly for all businesses)
- Month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Sales reporting and merchant processor PCI compliance
- Multi-state sales tax compliance
- Revenue and cost analysis
- Utilize systems to streamline processes and enhance reporting accuracy
- Ad hoc projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Accounting
- 3-5 years of experience
- Experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, and Bill.com is a plus
- Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Tech-savvy and able to troubleshoot new systems
- Excellent organization, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Communicates clearly and works well with a small team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
